Dr.
Wu Suzhen

The “Goddess of Fertility” · 妇科圣手
Eastern medicine sees the whole person — not the symptom but the root cause. That is why, where Western medicine reaches a dead end, TCM opens a new path.

Vice President of Foshan Fosun Chancheng Hospital, a renowned practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine in Guangdong province. She is known as the “Goddess of Childbirth” — under her personal guidance, infertility is treated by integrating Chinese and Western medicine.

Focus: comprehensive therapy for infertility, reproductive disorders and gynecological conditions. She has developed individual herbal formulas used at FFCH and personally manages complex cases of patients from around the world.

Answers to the key questions

What is traditional Chinese medicine and how does it differ from Western medicine?
TCM is a system of medicine with more than 3,000 years of history. It includes acupuncture, herbal therapy, moxibustion and tui-na massage. Unlike Western medicine, which treats a specific disease, TCM views the body as a single system and looks for the root cause of imbalance. At FFCH, TCM is used together with Western medicine — producing a synergy unattainable by either method alone.
Does TCM help with infertility?
At FFCH, TCM-based infertility treatment is led by Dr. Wu Suzhen — the clinic's Vice President, known in Guangdong province as the “Goddess of Fertility.” A comprehensive approach is used: acupuncture to normalize blood flow in the pelvic organs, individual herbal formulas for hormonal balance, and Tian Jiu therapy. A key feature is the integration of TCM with the capabilities of FFCH's Western gynecology.
Can I come for TCM only, without Western treatment?
Yes. You can come specifically for a TCM course — acupuncture, herbal therapy, Tian Jiu — without surgery or Western procedures. Many patients come for recovery, treatment of chronic conditions, or simply to restore the body's reserves. The course is chosen individually by a master after an initial assessment.
How safe is acupuncture?
At FFCH, acupuncture is performed by certified TCM masters with many years of experience — including state-level masters. Single-use sterile needles are used. The WHO recognizes acupuncture as effective for more than 100 conditions. When performed correctly, the procedure is safe and almost painless.
Can TCM be combined with cancer treatment at FFCH?
Yes — this is one of FFCH's key approaches. TCM as a complement to cancer treatment: acupuncture reduces the side effects of chemotherapy (nausea, fatigue), and herbal therapy restores immunity and blood formation. After surgery, a TCM course speeds recovery. All recommendations are agreed with the FFCH oncologists.
